Below are recommendations for ensuring accessible use of our e-commerce and Smart TV service (lv) websites and mobile apps.

Please note that LMT is not the developer of the relevant tools and cannot therefore be held responsible for their operation on your device. You may need to update OS, your browser, or a specific app to use the mentioned tools.

When using LMT services online, you can use accessibility features on your computer

Configure the accessibility settings on your computer's OS.
- If you are using a device with Windows OS, we recommend that you consult Microsoft guide to available accessibility settings. In order to select and configure accessibility settings while working on a computer with Windows OS you can press Windows + U
- If you are using a computer with iOS OS, we recommend that you consult Apple guide to available accessibility settings.
Use Screen Magnification (zoom or zoom feature) and support for enlarged characters or font sizes available on browsers with the help of the following key combinations:
- to zoom in, press Ctrl or Cmd and +
- for zoom out, press Ctrl or Cmd and -
- to return to the original (100%) zoom view, press Ctrl or Cmd and 0.
Use Reader Mode
Activate the Reader Mode in the address bar. Reader Mode is available via the search bar icon [] and is supported by Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Edge browsers. In order to enable Reader Mode, press F9 or Ctrl or Cmd + Shift + U. Please note that not all built-in reading tools recognise active controls such as buttons, input fields, and allow them to be enabled. We recommend using the Screen Reader for this purpose. Windows OS (we tested on Windows 11) offers browsing of interactive content with the system's default Screen Reader Windows Narrator. The reader can be enabled using the key combination Windows logo + Ctrl or Cmd + Enter. In May 2025, the OS Screen Reader unfortunately still lacks support for audio text output in Latvian.

If you need a Screen Reader with extensive functionality and Latvian language output to use LMT digital services, please enquire about the possibility of receiving technical aids (according to The Cabinet of Ministers (lv), screen reading program for persons with visual disabilities is provided by The Latvian Society for the Blind (lv)).You can also use Reader Mode with a browser-based voice service (e.g. Edge) to read terms of use and contract summaries, which are posted as PDF files on our websites.

Use Keyboard Navigation. Use the Tab and arrow keys (→ or ↑ or ← or ↓) to scroll up and down the page and access any specific link. In order to return to the previous interactive element (e.g. link, button, input field), use the key combination Shift + Tab.

Tips for using Screen Reader

If you use Screen Reader when you want to buy a product or service, use the Screen Reader quick navigation key “Button” to navigate to the button “Add to Basket”.
If you get “stuck” in a section of the page that is loading images, use the Screen Reader heading key (“Heading”) to jump to a heading outside the section.
Product search results are structured as headings. On your computer, use the heading key or the heading dialogue on the Screen Reader to navigate through the search results. On mobile devices, use the appropriate gestures to navigate through the headings.

In order to enable accessibility features on Android devices, we recommend that you consult the accessibility information on the developer's website →:

open the device settings (“Settings”);
select the accessibility settings (“Accessibility”);
then select “Advanced Settings”;
select (“Accessibility Button”) and pin the necessary digital accessibility settings shortcuts to the device toolbar.
