In what cases insurance is provided
Insurance covers all risks, i.e., sudden and accidental damage caused by external causes which could not be predicted or prevented. Insurance covers also theft, loss, and if you are the user of an LMT connection number, also unauthorised use related to compensated theft or loss. You should be able to describe the event, as well as name the cause, time and location.
What is the duration of validity of insurance
You do not have to pay for the first two months of the insurance. Insurance is automatically extended by each month, and the monthly fee (premium) is included in the LMT invoice; however, it is not in force for more than 60 months since the moment of signing the policy, afterwards the insurance is automatically terminated.
What to do in the case of an incident
Go to My LMT and follow the instructions to complete an electronic application form or contact LMT Device Insurance Service specialists by calling 28008222.
The application should be submitted as soon as possible, yet not later than 60 days after the incident which is the reason for submission of the application. If the device has been stolen or lost, immediately lock the series number (IMEI) and, if you are the user of an LMT connection number, lock also your connection number. In the case of loss or theft submit also the police statement on application concerning a loss or theft of the insured device.
What indemnity would be paid
The insured sum covers the expenses for the repair of the insured mobile device. If the device is beyond repair, and in the case of theft or loss, it will be replaced with the device of the same brand and model. If replacement with the device of the same brand and model would not be possible, it will be replaced with another device with equal functionality without exceeding prices set out in the price list of LMT Retail & Logistics at the moment of purchase of insurance, yet not exceeding €2,000 (incl. VAT). Maximum insured sum for unauthorised use in the case of theft is €1,000 (incl. VAT) (applicable to users of LMT connection number). The insured sum remains unchanged during the entire insurance period; however, no more than one application on theft or loss per period of 12 months since the beginning of the insurance will be indemnified. The damaged device will be transferred and received at an LMT customer service centre.
Indemnity is not reduced due to wear and tear.
Indemnity shall not be paid in cash.
What is not covered by insurance
- Damage covered by the manufacturer’s or supplier’s warranty or damage for which the seller is responsible in accordance with law or a contract.
- The normal wear and tear
- Unauthorised use and negligence
- Theft from premises or a car if breaking in cannot be proven
- If you cannot explain when, where and how it happened in the case of loss or theft of the device

COSTS
Deductible
Deductible depends on the standard price of the insured device at the moment of purchase as shown below, without regard for discounts if any applied.
Deductible is a sum which will not be indemnified and will be paid by the customer.
Monthly fee (premium)
Monthly fee (premium) will be included in your LMT invoice (first two months free of charge).
Important!
When calculating a monthly fee for used devices, a price of device shall be the price of a new device, not the purchase price. Only new original parts are used to repair used devices as well.

- If you have purchased insurance at the LMT e-store (online), you may cancel the insurance within 14 days since the beginning date of the insurance.

- LMT is entitled to collect a monthly fee (premium) and administer the insurance service in line with LMT Device Insurance Terms and Conditions.
- The insurance is administered by the insurance broker Willis Towers Watson Sweden AB (WTW), reg. no. 556426-5295, Willis Towers Watson Plc subsidiary or WTW authorised third party on behalf of the Insurer. Administration includes examination of insurance applications.

Please describe the reason for complaint as accurately as possible and provide the number of the insurance policy and your contact information.
The response to the complaint will be provided free of charge within 14 days since the moment the complaint was received. The period of 14 days may be extended if the complaint cannot be replied to within 14 days due to objective reasons (we will inform you on the reason for extension of the period and will provide a new deadline). Complaints and replies are registered in the registry of complaints and are examined by the Complaints Examination Commission comprised of the Insurer, Insurance Administrator and Insurance Distributor to verify facts and avoid the conflict of interests when examining the complaint. Reasons for complaint and compliance with procedures for examination of complaints are supervised by the Insurer, Insurance Administrator and Insurance Distributor; when necessary and if possible, primary reasons for complaints and non-conformities are analysed and eliminated. - Disputes may be submitted for settlement by a court of Latvia.
