What can happen when I am in a border area?

What can happen when I am in a border area?

It is possible that foreign networks may have coverage in border areas. Any services from these networks are charged according to your tariff plan and foreign tariffs.
To avoid any inconvenience, please remember about the following.

  • We recommend to use the manual mode to choose the LMT network according to your phone’s instructions for use. If required, you will be able to resume using a foreign network by enabling the automatic selection mode.
  • If you do not plan to travel abroad and would like to disable the possibility to use any foreign networks permanently, please contact us.
  • If you are in an EEA country other than Latvia, on a ship or a ferry, and use your tariff plan as at home, please check the chosen network if you are close to the border with a non-EEA country. We will send a text message with network and tariff information, when you register in the network of the respective country for the first time.

If you would like to permanently restrict access to the Internet in other countries (irrespective of settings), text VG to 1688. If required, you will be able to re-enable access to the Internet abroad by texting VG+ to the same number.
