What to do following the death of an LMT customer?
We understand that this can be a difficult situation, so we offer a clear and simple way forward.
If an LMT customer passes away, the family has two options.
1. Number registration in the name of another user
This option is free of charge. The new user may register the number:
- at any LMT Customer Centre, upon presentation of the death certificate (or a copy thereof) and a valid identity document;
- remotely, provided that the new user can confirm the agreement electronically using eSignature or Smart-ID.
In this case, the request to change the subscriber must be sent to [email protected], along with a copy of the death certificate.
Once the agreement has been prepared and uploaded to My LMT for approval, we will contact the new customer.
2. Agreement cancellation
Cancellation requires an application (in free form) and a copy of the death certificate. Documents may be sent to [email protected] or submitted at any LMT Customer Centre.
